People are going crazy for Japanese style animal prints at the moment and one of my favourite styles that is pitter pattering its paws around the shops right now is cat print. It’s quirky, fun, edgy and playful. And personally being a cat lover myself, I can’t get enough of it.
Victoria Beckham was recently papped sporting a cat print dress on Madison Avenue. The dress is crisp and clean and the print is bold. Victoria has typically finished off her outfit with her signature oversized shades and a smart plain bowling bag. Miu Miu started the whimsical animal print trend with its 2010 collection and many designers have followed in their paw prints
Dorothy Perkins has produced as more demure version of this dress, with teeny weeny cats on a trendy burnt orange colour.
My shirt is by Kat Von Dee and is part of the autumn collection. I’m wearing beige with black print, but black with beige print is also available. I’ve teamed it with some high wasted black leather shorts and tights. I wore this to the theatre on my Birthday and felt like it was a great ‘occasion’ outfit. Also the shirt has a draw string under the chest so it gives you a great shape and makes you feel absolutely puuuuuuurfect
So get your claws out, grab your piece of cat print this autumn and turn the streets into a CATWALK…!!
